Hi, I’m Molly Tie- freelance music journalist and writer with a passion for all things punk!
I have written for The Punk Lounge, Vive Le Rock and Loud Women as well as being the UK Editor for Punktuation Magazine.
I am a contributing author to ‘Punk Rock and Philosophy’ writing specifically about straight edge punk (Ed. Heter and Greene, Carus Books, 2022) and my very own book- ‘Rebel Grrrls: The Story of Women and Punk’- will be published by Omnibus Press in 2025.
I am particularly interested in the ethics and politics of punk music and how it can be a force for good- which is what this website is all about!
I love all eras of punk music from US hardcore to 90s pop punk and if your favourite band are The Donnas…we’re gonna get along!
